Grip Adjustment

Ergonomic grip prevents painHand related problems will be minimised by an ergonomically shaped grip. The feeling in fingers is mainly caused by two nerves: the ulnar nerve, which supplies feeling to the pinky and the digit next to it; while the nerve running through the carpal tunnel supplies feeling to the remaining fingers.

When carpal tunnel syndrome occurs (aka, „Median Nerve Compression Syndrome“), the angle between the hand and forearm should bereduced.

This can be achieved with skilful adjustment of the grip and / or the handlebar.

Measuring the hand for ideal configuration of the gripProblems in the pinky area occur when the ulnar nerve is strained. An ideal size and shape of a grip can reduce pressure on the ulnar nerve. (Pressure = Force/Surface Unit.) An ideal grip diameter can also make a big difference.
